ARRIVAL

Thank you for praying!

After 44 hours of travel, we finally arrived in Blantyre, Malawi. Despite our exhaustion, we felt a surge of anticipation and excitement. We spent six months preparing for this incredible mission opportunity, and now we were finally here.

The drive from the airport to Finish Line's mission headquarters reminded us that we were no longer in Ohio. Malawi is a country deeply affected by poverty, making it hard to ignore the pressing needs of its people. Yet, even amidst such challenges, a remarkable joy shines through.

The journey along the mountainous road to Finish Line's headquarters is often difficult, and today was no exception. The bumpy road was crowded with people walking to and from the market at the base of Finish Line Mountain.

Upon our arrival, over 500 children from Finish Line's Orphan and Day School Ministry warmly greeted us in song. They cheered and sang as we walked the final 200 feet to our compound. The smiles and laughter on the faces of the children truly touched our souls.

In the late afternoon, we headed to Finish Line's Pastors Bible Institute to join the students for a time focused on testimonies and God's Word. We spent nearly two hours worshipping, sharing laughter, and encouraging one another in our faith.

The Malawian-led praise and worship session was indescribable. It was a blessing to lift our voices alongside these remarkable men. Clay Smith, Steve Raikes, Jim Blank, and Tim Kraynak shared sincere, heartfelt, and challenging testimonies. Emerson Patrick, Hobie Raikes, Zach Thomas, Ethan Blank, Sam Blank, and Scott Thomas concluded our evening with a group prayer.

It's incredible to think that we had the privilege of meeting the men who, in just 75 days, will serve as Finish Line pastors and church planters in remote villages throughout Malawi.

Please Pray For The Following:

  • For God to move in the hearts of everyone who hears His Word and the testimonies of His people.

  • For hundreds of men, women, students, and children to be challenged and encouraged in their faith.

  • For hundreds of people to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

  • For good health and safe ground transportation.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
