And So It Begins
After 43 hours of travel, we finally arrived in Blantyre, Malawi. Despite our weariness, we were filled with an overwhelming sense of anticipation and excitement. We had spent six months preparing for this extraordinary mission opportunity, and now we were here.
The drive from the airport to the hotel emphasized a stark reality: we were no longer in Ohio. Malawi is a country marked by poverty, and it's impossible to overlook the needs of the people here. Yet, amidst these hardships, their joy shines through. The people here are remarkably resilient and are eternally optimistic despite their hardships.
We hurried from the airport to our hotel, staying just long enough to check in and drop off our bags.
As darkness fell, we headed to Finish Line's Pastors Bible Institute to join the students and their wives. We spent nearly two hours worshipping together, sharing laughter, and challenging each other in our faith.
The Malawian-led praise and worship session was truly remarkable. It was a blessing for us to lift our voices alongside these wonderful men and their wives. Renee Little and Abby Rettstatt shared beautifully inspired testimonies, and Amy Garner delivered a devotional challenge that stirred the souls of everyone who could hear her.
As our evening drew to a close, we had the opportunity to give gifts and pray for our students and their wives. It’s amazing to think that we had the privilege of meeting the men who, in just 100 days, will be serving as Finish Line pastors and church planters in remote villages throughout Malawi.
Please Pray For The Following:
For God to move in the hearts of everyone who hears His Word and the testimonies of His people.
For thousands of women to be challenged and encouraged in their faith.
For hundreds of women to come to faith in Jesus Christ.
For safe and timely air travel.
For good health and safe ground transportation.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
